I've been on a journey to well-balanced health since I was a little girl. Through childhood I had severe eczema and allergies. I've been told it's my body fighting it self (said every doctor when you are diagnosed with an autoimmune disease). I've been told I was not using enough steriod, or the right steroid, or creaming enough or creaming too much. My allergy testing proves to every doctor that I belong living in a bubble. Later on, I've been diagnosed with a Prolactinoma which led to multiple medications for years. Honestly, the list goes on but I will stop there.

So, here I am 30+ years later just trying my best to be healthy and take care of myself, my husband and my sweet baby girl. I'm quickly discovering that it is more than just being healthy - it is about making small lifestyle changes that add up to a more balanced way of life. And most importantly, it is about feeling happy and motivated to make and keep these changes. I have done so many diets, cleanses and detoxes in my lifetime. And while I have had some success, there was still a part of me holding back myself from healing. I always looked at everything like it was a punishment or suffering I was going through because I have been dealt a difficult set of diagnoses. I also thought I had to be all in or nothing at all.

Maybe it's because I'm a libra, but balance in my life is crucial. I want to be able to stick to my Italian roots and enjoy wine, make the recipes I've picked up along the years from living in new places and meeting new people. I don't want to say no to going out or traveling with family and friends because I am tied to a strict diet and way of life. So what I am learning on this journey is that what works for me is balance. It is probably a little bit of a slower road to healing and ultimate health, but it is a way in which I can do it happily.

I am not a health professional. I am a Creative Director in marketing. This website is just me putting out the tips and tricks that I have discovered to help me make small simple changes to my lifestyle that are helping me to heal. (See more on my healing journey here.) It also includes recipes I have come up with by tweaking others I have found, to make them just a little cleaner. These are all things I have spent years searching in Google and trying to find answers and this is a place for me to put some of my top answers I have found to hopefully find you in your healing or health journey and to start making small simple changes.
