Parchment Paper Is Better Every Time

The more aware I become of heavy metals creeping into our environments and diets - the more I try to rid my life of them. Small changes here and there can lead to major shifts in our lifestyle.

So I started with removing foil from my kitchen and replacing it with parchment paper. It has been an easy and amazing adjustment. Here are three benefits that I have discovered with using parchment paper:

  • It is awesome for lining baking sheets when cooking just about anything! Nothing sticks to your pan, your baked or roasted goods just slide right off, and in the trash goes the paper - it could not be more simple.
  • With its nonstick ability all on its own - it has allowed me to use less oil when cooking, which helps keep our meals lower in fat. This ultimately allows a less-likely overworked liver and happier health.
  • Storing food with parchment paper has been a game changer. If I make falafel patties, turkey or lentil burgers I use parchment paper in between layers of stacking them in containers to help keep my food from getting soggy and stuck together.

Oh and did I mention it makes cleanup a heck of a lot easier!?
